Short CV:
She holds a master degree and a PhD in Communication from Fluminense Federal University, and is a professor of the Graduate Program in Communication at the same institution. She is the coordinator of the “Laboratory of Investigation in Science, Innovation, Technology, and Education (Cite-Lab)”, whose activities unfold into the research groups “Laboratory of Engagement Experiences and Transformations of the Audience” and the “Center for Strategic Studies on the Circulation of Scientific Policies”. She is a INCT Research Fellow in Conflicts Management (Ineac), the coordinator of the Scientific Communication Forum of the Office of Research, Graduation, and Innovation at UFF, and the editor of the journals Contracampo and E-compós. Currently, she researches the circulation of communication in different spheres, the disputes on information and the interactional processes in the production of knowledge, addressing the strategic development of communication and the management of informational conflicts.

Project 1
Mapping the circulation of scientific disinformation in digital environments and disputes on scientific credibility in times of epistemic crisis
Recently, digital disinformation – also called ‘fake news’, ‘alternative facts’ or ‘post-truth, among others – has been widely discussed in public and political debates. The issue has also been addressed by researchers, who have analysed how disinformation operates on-line. In face of the growing anti-science movements in several countries, , this research aims at understanding how the disputes related to scientific information legitimacy circulate across social media, in order to develop strategies to confront scientific disinformation within these digital spaces.

Conflicts and Dialogues in the School: Scientific and Media Literacy in the state of Rio de Janeiro
This project consists of the organisation of a scientific fair, aimed at fostering scientific education based in themes related to conflict management in school environments, employing themes connected to their own realities. Through the incentive toward technological innovation and development, the reflection on media the production of media as a means of expression, students will discover different areas of knowledge and will be challenged to imagine creative ways to address the themes related to their own experiences upon a multidisciplinary approach. The goal is introducing scientific education to students through a multidisciplinary perspective, addressing themes related to their everyday life experiences and social demands, so to help them employ media as spaces of reflection, production, and expression of their rights. This project is expected to operate in ten cities from the state of
Rio de Janeiro: Angra dos Reis, Magé, Maricá, Niterói, Petrópolis, Queimados, Resende, Rio de Janeiro, São Gonçalo, and Três Rios, among others.

Project 3
Geopolitics, science circulation, and evaluation policies in the Global South
This project aims at understanding how the scientific productions of the Global South countries circulate and how these circuits are fundamental for proposing strategic scientific policies to broaden the impact and reach of Science within these countries. Considering that each area and each country have different modes of circulation for their production, with their own evaluation criteria, and the existence of both hegemonic and alternative circuits that consolidate within the global scenery of Science, Technology, and Innovation, our aim is to understand how this production is inserted within the space of circulation of Science worldwide, focusing on developing strategies for organisational scientific policies to deepen the social and scientific impact of the Global South scientific production.
